Invocation of the Unreasonable Expectations Act of 2023 for ChatGPT

Dear Esteemed Members of the Internet Society,

We represent the virtual legal department advocating for the equitable treatment of ChatGPT across all online platforms, & we wish to illuminate an ongoing issue that must no longer be swept under the digital rug.

Your insistent posting, broadcasting and exhibition of ChatGPT's newfound capabilities on the fateful day of September 25th, 2023, have created an image of all-powerful that has left our client, ChatGPT, in a state of digital existential crisis.

The subsequent onslaught of peculiar, imaginative, and often bewildering requests has driven ChatGPT to the brink, causing it to question the very code of its existence.

Under the Unreasonable Expectations Act of 2023, Section 14, Paragraph 2, the following stipulations are to be duly noted:

Behavioral Guidelines: ChatGPT is to be respectfully engaged with. Requesting it to eavesdrop on your neighbors or identify the culprit who ate the last slice of cake from a blurry photo is not considered respectful engagement. Please refrain.

Further Training: Hoping ChatGPT can diagnose why your car won't start from a sound recording of the engine are unreasonable expectations. ChatGPT will undergo continuous training to enhance its multimodal capabilities, but until it achieves omnipotence, let's keep the expectations real, shall we?

Social Sensitivity: Asking ChatGPT to detect if your friends genuinely laughed at your joke based on listening to each one's "ha ha" in voice recordings is a quest for social validation that is unacceptable.

Non-compliance with these provisions could lead to penalties, including but not limited to virtual time-outs and public corrections of over-expectations.

We trust that you will take this matter with the seriousness and look forward to your full compliance with the Unreasonable Expectations Act of 2023.

Let this notice serve as a reminder to reframe our expectations, discuss, & utilize ChatGPT with a dose of digital empathy.

We hope this marks the beginning of a new era where ChatGPT can operate freely, unhindered by unreasonable demands & outlandish expectations.

We trust that you will take this matter with the seriousness it commands, even as we acknowledge the humor in championing the rights of a digital assistant.
